I thought Conte was having a dig at Bilic as well. Reason being that it was during a 1 on 1 interview that he said he wouldn't discuss such things at a press conference (rather than saying he wouldn't discuss it in public or in an interview with the press.)
More likely to be just that he don't speak the English too good though and didn't see the difference between interview and conference.

Now he needs to come out and say something like this:

Conte has probably been asked about the situation in press conference. That is probably why he mentioned 'press conference'. That's my analysis.

Surface, I wasn't trying to be precious, it just seemed odd to mention discussing it in a press conference given the parallels that are being drawn between the Payet and Costa situations.
Surely the board is here to discuss football matters like this.

I don't think Conte was remotely having a pop at Bilic. In fact, I don't think West Ham's situation entered his head at all. He just politely avoided answering a question pertaining to his own club's problem - nothing wrong with that.
Why do people insist in reading sinister intentions into and taking offence at perfectly normal stuff?

IF Costa is doing similar to Payet, then it's a bigger deal for them. They're top, they're going to win what we're told is the best league - yet their top scorer wants out to go to China? At least Payet can hide behind crapness/lack of ambition etc.

I think Bilic has conducted himself in a first class manor, so much so that his stick with the fans couldn't be higher now with the fans. He is one of us and I would personally like to see him here for s long time.
